Notification issue on Charge 2 after Android 9 update

I am facing this issue from a long time now, sync works perfectly however notification doesnt work on Charge 2 on Android 9. Have done all the suggested things like: fresh setup of the device with phone, permissions settings, do not disturb setting, no other bluetooth device to be connected etc but all in vain.

I have a samsung A8+ phone which is same as Samsung A8 with a bigger screen (this phone is compatible as per the compatible list) but still facing the issue.

Kindly suggest if anything can be done with this.

First, I'd like to appreciate your effort and time troubleshooting your Charge 2 prior to posting, thank you for all the detailed information that was shared with me. Seems odd that you're experiencing difficulties with the notifications feature, even more when your Samsung Galaxy A8 is a compatible device just as stated in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know if you don't receive any type of notifications your device or you receive notifications but inconsistently. Also, do you receive text notifications but not phone calls and vice versa, or simply don't receive notifications at all? 

 I recommend you to check all the information related to the notifications feature here to check if there's a missing requirement on your mobile device that's preventing the text notifications to come through. Also, move forward to the troubleshooting steps that are specified on: My Fitbit device isn't receiving notifications from my phone and let me know how it goes.
