What happened to the turning off notifications during sleep which worked perfectly? Now there is this sleep mode where I have to know my sleeping schedule (which isn’t the same every night) and it turns the screen dim (my screen is quite dim in the normal setting and the dim screen is basically blank, even in the dark). Another functioning setting replaced by a worse one...

I also came here looking for a solution to this. Auto detection of sleeping worked perfectly, as my sleep schedule is all over the place. Now I keep getting woken up by notifications. How do we turn them off?

Has anyone found a solution for this? It’s pretty annoying to wake up with messages.

Completely agree. The option was removed with the mid-2020 Firmware update. You now have only Do Not Disturb and Sleep Mode which have to be turned on manually. You can set a schedule for Sleep Mode but that only works if you have a regular sleep schedule which not every one does (any parents out there?) and doesn't help if you're trying to squeeze a nap in. No one, especially exhausted parents, are going not remember to hit DND before they crash. The Auto-Detect for sleep simply worked. Now we have to choose between removing the tracker before sleeping, remembering to hit DND, or putting up with getting notifications and being woken up the one morning you managed to be able to get a little extra time to sleep in. Come on FitBit...how much user testing did you do before removing the sleep auto-detect feature, and how many parents did you talk to?

It's not just annoying for parents. People who work shift will be screwed by this too. For myself, some of my friends are in different time zones so during a challenge I'm being woken up at 1am because they're already up and about where they are. So frustrating 🤦🏾:female_sign:
