Other tracking devices?

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My 5th for bit in four years has just died suddenly. This one lasted longer than the others but it was no longer under warranty. All fit bit can do is offer me a discount for a new one and tell me again that they have improved the quality since last time. Obviously I'm not going to waste my money

What other tracking devices do people recommend?

If you desire to look into other fitness devices, Garmin is Fitbits main competitor.  The Vivosmart line is comparable with Fitbit's Charge line..  Somethings Fitbit does better, other things Garmin does.  It comes down to which user base you want to align with.

I'm on my 3rd Fitbit in 3 years. I have considered switching  to Garmin. The reviews of Garmin products on Amazon seem quite similar to problems reported in this forum. The big complaint seems to be the screen died (versus battery or band problems). I got the impression that while FitBit will accept a faulty product if bought through an authorized reseller, Garmin will only accept returns of products bought directly from Garmin. Otherwise, you need to go back to the store you bought it from. This may not be true, its based on reading Amazon reviews. But I'm not sure that any of these products are manufactured with the expectation that they will last more than a couple of years, at best.

I am in the same situation.  I am tired of the Fitbit devices lasting a year or less.  It is now time to give up on Fitbit and look for a more reliable device.
