Why does my charge HR does not track steps or miles when I select outdoor workout?

Hello @Jwbulldogs and welcome to the Community.  Outdoor Workout isn't described very well. but it is for non-step based activities like kayaking and stand up paddle board.  Fitbit only adds one-foot-in-front-of-the-other step based activities to daily distance.  Biking is treated the same way.

I know that when the Charge 4 was new, the icon showed someone wearing a backpack.  It got changed to someone in a kayak.  I don't wear a Charge 4, so I don't know if the icon is right or wrong.  The icon is wrong on the Versa 3, too.  It has the same icon as Interval Workout.
