Over 100k sync issue

Hi. I ran an Ultra yesterday and did over 110k steps. I synced late last night and the app showed over 110k steps. I also received the Olympian Golden Sandal badge from Fitbit for 100k+ steps. 

This morning I sync again to record sleep and the step count has gone down to 96,000. Why?
