My Fitbit charge4 watch says that I have to update the app to connect with mij Fitbit but I have the latest version of the app. Problem started after updating tot iOS 16.0.3

Verify that both the Fitbit Firmware and iOS are updated to the latest version, and then try to restart your Fitbit device.

I have tried everything on every forum. Reset FitBit, force quit app, uninstall app, reinstall app, turn bluetooth on and off, sync. Every time regardless of sequence I get the same f'ing message "download or update the FitBit App" Phone is updated FitBit I think is updated, can't tell since I can't sync. But the reset I would assume would update if there was a new one.
