My Fitbit is only few months old when I started to see battery life decline. First the battery could last 5-6 days but now it will not last 24hours. What is wrong with my Fitbit?

@Kaurviru thanks for joining us! That's very odd behavior. Actually your Fitbit Charge 2 battery can last up to 5 days. Because battery life is affected by use and other settings, actual results may vary. Please take note of the following to improve your tracker's battery life:
Also, make sure that you restart your tracker by doing the following:
Give a try and let me know how it goes!

I had a similar problem.
I was able to solve it by letting my battery drain until completly dead before recharging. The low battery icon with the exclamation point is not enough, let it go until it completly shuts off.
I went from a charge lasting less than 2 days to lasting about 6.

My Fitbit Charge2 is 4 weeks old now, and it lasted 7+ days on the last charge. I've disabled the All Day Sync, however 'Always Connected' is enabled. I've enabled hourly reminders about steps, nightly bedtime alert and Daily alarm. It is also setup to sync Calls/Messages/Calendar alerts with my Pixel XL.

Sometimes with app updates, the "All Day Sync" feature gets reactivated on my phone. When this happens, my Charge 2 battery will drain within a day. With it disabled, I'll normally get a full week on a charge. I also always have the Always Connected feature activated with no adverse reaction to battery life.

Thanks for your inputs. App got upgraded a couple of times so far, and it didn't flip the Always Sync on.
My charge time is generally b/w 90-120 mins.

Hi Miriam,
Thanks for swift reply. I have tried to restart my Fitbit and have switched all notifications off (except heart monitor). The wierd thing is that my Fitbit started to act so after I once let the battery to get totally empty and currently after the night of charging it lasts only 2-3hours max. And when I hook the Fitbit to the charger it doesnt vibrate (before it did). Please suggest what to do because currently I cant use the product. As its only few months old, isnt there guarantee for similar issues?
Thanks,
Kaur

I was going to say there are two main reasons for a decrease in battery life.
The first is letting a lithium battery go dead and not imeadiatly putting it on its charger. Actually it is better to not let them drop much below 30%. The battery starts to breakdown.
The second would be leaving a lithium battery on the charger to long. To much heat starts breaking down the battery.

Thanks for your inputs guys!
It's nice to hear back from you @Kaurviru! That sounds pretty weird. Have you tried restarting your Charge 2? If you haven't already, please do the following:
Give that a try a couple of times and let me know how it goes. Maybe we can review your warranty options alongside our Support Team.

Hi Mariam,
The behaviour of my Fitbit is really wierd. I have done restart for it and it has not helped me. The battery still lasts for couple of hours (2-3h max). Whats also strange is that when I connect my Fitbit with charger it doesnt vibrate anymore (before it did) but it still charges the battery (shows the charging logo on the screen).
Im really unhappy with this product as I have only used it couple of months. Currently I cant use it as I have to charge it 3-4 times per day and this is not normal for product what I payed 138€.
There should be warranty for your products, right?

@Kaurviru thanks for getting back to me. This definitely doesn't sound like expected behavior. Please note that the recommended practice is to plug in your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If necessary, you can use a UL-certified USB wall charger. However, I don't recommend using a USB hub or battery pack to charge, and only use the charging cable that came with your tracker as this could result in battery damage.
Also, don't leave your tracker charging overnight, charging fully takes about one to two hours. Nevertheless, it sounds like your tracker's behavior isn't expected, so I've sent your case to our Support Team for a deeper look. Keep an eye on your inbox for further instructions.

Hai,
I am also facing similar kind of problem. I have turned off as per your suggestions. Initially the battery life is very good and lasts a week. But now, it is declining and hardly 10 to 12 hours a day. Please suggest the solution. Since, this watch was gifted by my brother. So I don't want to change the watch.
Looking forward to receive the positive response.
