Random step notifications

I just replaced a worn-out Charge 3 with a new one. Now I’m getting random notices like “250 steps more.” The numbers change and are completely unrelated to any goal that I’ve set. Changing my notification settings hasn’t stopped it. I’m getting them about once an hour.

That sounds like 'Reminders to Move' that give such a message at ten til the hour for the time range you have selected.  The number is how many steps you still are short of 250 steps in that hour.  If you have already reached 250 steps, it does not give any message.

I would think it would be the same as on your previous one, assuming you are using the same fitbit account/email, unless you have something about notifications set differently on this one.

It was indeed on. Hopefully that will do the trick. Thanks.

Weird, though. This is my fourth FitBit and that feature has never defaulted to on.
