My Fitbit Charge 4 is only a year and a half old, actually less since the nugget was replaced in Sept 2021. I have three issues with it that are concerning:
1) For at least the past six months the sleep tracking starts recording about 4 hours after.my actual sleep starts; or, the sleep is split into two separate segments. In either case I can edit the results. I can guess at the accurate start time. Or, if there are two segments, I can delete one and edit the other to combine the results. For the most part that seems to give me reasonable and real sleep data. But WHY is this happening night after night? It never records a full night's sleep anymore. I've tried wearing the wristband looser, tighter, higher on my wrist, etc. with no change in the results.
2) The second issue started about a month ago. The display is so dim that, particularly in a well-lit area, I can barely make out the details. Even under the best conditions, the display is very dim. What would cause that to start happening?
3) The third issue started about the same time the dimmed display did. I used to be able to flip my wrist and the display would come on. Not any more. The only way I can view the (dim) display is to push the side of the nugget.
I've tried the reset option a half dozen times but it has not helped any of those issues. Are there settings somewhere that need to be adjusted? I sure haven't found any.
I've loved all of my Fitbits over the years (Charge 2, Charge 3, and now Charge 4) but this one is making me unhappy.

OK, I've resolved Issue #2 above. When I found a place where I could make out the dim text on my watch, I went looking on my watch to see if I could figure out the problem. I found the Settings area and a Brightness control and discovered it was set to Dim. When I changed it to Normal, I could read everything just like it used to be. There's also an Auto brightness but I opted for Normal since I'm not sure I trust an auto option. Probably auto would be a battery saver but I don't care. The mystery to me is how/why the brightness got changed. Settings is not an area I ever go to so I don't think it was anything I did to cause the Dim light. I see a number of other posters have mentioned similar experience recently. Coincidence???

Third issue resolved thanks to another poster. Push the side button until a screen with Sleep and Screen Wake displays. Screen Wake dimly displayed a lightbulb with a line through it. But, when I pushed the Sleep text, it changed the Screen Wake display to on. Now when I turn my wrist the display comes on. What I don't understand is how/why this changed in an area I never have had reason to go to on my Fitbit. And is it just a coincidence that other posters are having the same issue????
