Recording GPS Track

I set out to track a route on bike using GPS.  Using the App I click on the + next to daily activity, the choices of activity are only “Run, Walk or Hike.”  So when using on a bike I have to coRectify activity at end of event BUT the record shows I have done thousands of steps which of course I haven’t.  There is no obvious way of selecting Bike at start of event.

It sounds like you are starting from the phone app.  You can start right from the tracker, using the Exercise App, and get bike or several other options.  To get started, from main clock face scroll right (swipe left) to 'Exercise'; tap that then scroll left or right to desired exercise.
