Recording a nap

I graduated from the Flex to the Charge HR to the Charge 2. With the Charge HR, when I laid down for a nap, I would press and hold the button and when I woke up, I'd press it again. Pretty much 90% of the time it would log the time as sleep.

I can't seem to find the same function with the Charge 2. Does anyone know how to do this?

@Sweeney123 when it comes to the sleep, all but the ionic treat it the same way. After the user wakes up and then a sync is performed. The Fitbit server then detects the sleep period. None of the fitbits show sleep on the tracker.

When it comes to the ionic, supposedly the sleep is calculated on the tracker.

My real question is this then.  I bought the Alta HR to record and analyze my sleep.  I typically sleep 4 hours during the night, I wake up for a couple of hours (for no reason) and then sleep for another 1 or 2 hours.  I am hoping my Alta will not only record the 4 hours, but also record and analyze the subsequent 'nap'.  So far in the first few days, the Alta will not recognize my second part of my sleep after I have been awake for awhile.  I can manually put this part in, but then I do not get any of the sleep stage analysis.

Is the way it works? And if so, would a different fitbit model be better for my sleeping pattern.

Thanks!

The Alta does not analyze naps. Mine can detect my naps from about 45 minutes or more but does not tell me what sleep stage I was in or anything. I've only had the HR so I'm not sure if there is one that would work differently

i seldom do add nap time manually to the log and i have no desire to mess with the log data.  i consider my versa 1 functioning of not able to combine after dinner naps to that nights sleep as a negative, user clumsy, limitation of the algorithm

Yup, links and websites often change over time and why ressurecting a 6 year old post may not be helpful.

@Vanmarti look at the bottom of any page, you will find a link to the fitbit Help Docs. ( this link may also be found in the fitbit app).

Go to the help docs and enter Sleep into the search bar
