My exercise sessions consist of alternating time (no less than 15 minutes each) between a treadmill and ARC Trainer, interspersed with workouts on weight or resistance machines. My Charge 2 fails to consistently record time spent on the treadmill and ARC trainer (recorded as Elliptical). Yesterday, for example, I did 15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 on the ARC, but only the treadmill time was recorded. Two days ago both were recorded, and the day before that, the Charge recorded time on the ARC, but not the treadmill. It did pick up an 18 minute walk to and from the mailbox later that day. Hope this is clear. Looking forward to comments and suggestions. Thank you.

For auto-recognized exercises, which it sounds you are using rather than the Exercise App, there is a minimum time for each activity to be counted. I believe the default is 15 minutes for each, which would explain sometimes getting credit for 15 minutes and sometimes not, being right on the edge. But you can change the minimum time to anywhere from 10-90 minutes.
From main page on phone app, tap tile for days of exercise, then the gear icon near top right. It will show each exercise and the minimum time. Tap to change the time for any.

Worked like a charm. Thanks very much. You mentioned an "Exercise App" in your reply yesterday. If it is not too much trouble, could you provide some information on that?

See How do I track my workouts with my Fitbit device?
The super quickie version is to press the side button until see 'Exercise', then tap screen to get your exercise choice, then hold in side button to start and stop. But read above link for full information.
It's a bit more work to get started, but once have used it, it's easy.
It has many advantages: you specify exactly when your workout starts and stops so no chance of not getting full time credit, you specify what exercise you are doing (at least within ~20 choices) rather than relying on Fitbit to figure it out, everything you do counts as a exercise session regardless of how long.
