....on Fitbit charge 2.
Had a break from taking care of my own well being (silly me) and have now charged Fitbit up again. I would like to reset now though, any info for me out there ?

The only way to erase history is to start a new fitbit account with a different email.

But I don't understand why so many people want to erase their history, rather than just collecting data from the present on. 

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
