Hi everyone,
I use my charge 3 to row indoors. However it usually tracks my heart rate in a good way but now I get nothing, not even a slight increase in heart rate when I'm rowing. It's frustrating because it doesn't log a thing regarding my rowing session. Any thoughts? What I've tried so far.... Change charge to my dominant wrist, place it higher up my wrist, tighten/loosen the wristband.
Nothing works, my HR stays around 80bpm and very rarely is peaks for 10sec to 115bpm.
Thx in advance!
B.

You might just be exceptionally fit, but I doubt that is what is going on. 😎 I also log stationary rowing sessions just using the exercise type Workout and then changing the name of the exercise in the Fitbit app later to Rowing. You don't say if this is how you log your rowing sessions, but from your description it sounds like it used to work correctly for you and now it doesn't. Some things to try, which the Fitbit moderators would suggest, are a reboot of your Charge 3 device and then check to see if anything changes. The Workout exercise is a default so you can't change any of its settings. When you check your heart rate graphics in the Fitbit app, are there regular variations in the plots throughout the day? Lastly, when you say that your HR stays around 80bpm and very rarely peaks for 10sec to 115bpm, are you seeing this information in the completed exercise session in the Weekly Exercise section of the Fitbit app or are you seeing these numbers real-time on either your Charge 3 or a Bluetooth-linked phone or computer? There could be interference in Bluetooth communication if you have more than one linked device in close proximity.

Hi and thanks for your reply!
I'm not that fit I can tell you that, but I'm getting there 😉.
The problem with the logging whilst rowing was always there, the charge 3 never got it right. My powerwalks on the other hand are logged perfectly! What the name changing of the exercise concerns , I've done that before. But there's really no point doing that since there is no correct data linked into the app. My heart rate peaks of 115bpm and higher are actually logged. I see them in real time during workout, but also afterwards on the fitbit app on my phone. So the logging really does happen 😁.
Thanks for looking into this!
