Hi went for a run this morning and my charge 3 closed the running activity completely down mid run. GPS only logged up until the point that the activity shut down. Really frustrating as I am doing the couch 2 5k manually so need the running activity to work as when I'm running I need to work out my split times for walking and running
Anyone else had this issue and know how to resolve it?

Mine has done this twice now in the last two weeks. No notification, I just happened to glance at the watch and saw it was no longer in exercise mode.

I have this happen from time to time. Once on a long run while visiting family about 6 months ago. A couple times since. It happened again this morning, and this time it mattered more to me. I am doing virtual races during COVID-19 (running the streets, but not with other runners), and we all really need our Fitbits to not shut down of their own accord mid-run! It happens that if I keep running after I've noticed the exercise has shut down, sometimes the Fitbit (mine is a Charge 3) pops up with a question if I'm running, and I have the opportunity to start a new run. The problem with this today is that I needed the run to be in one complete run, and I'm not going to run 7.5 miles twice today under a heat advisory. I've asked for help but the only option is to create a manual run, and these are not accepted by race officials. I would love it if Fitbit would ask not "are you running?" and create a new run, but ask instead "are you still running and want to continue?" This way the function of noticing the exercise and popping up with the notification would be much more helpful, and would allow the run to be continued in the same data stream. Would this be possible? Otherwise, it would be nice for the Fitbit dashboard to have the option to combine 2 workouts into one if they're the same type and there was no break between them... Race officials should have no issues with these kinds of manipulations of data, but at present Fitbit offers no resolutions to this problem.
