Running and lifting

I have read many postings and do not quite have an answer.  I am very new to the FitBit community, so this is a new experience for me. My simple question is what workout mode should I choose for my work out (does it even matter?)?

My workout is running on my elliptical for 20 minutes then do a set of weights (5 different station @ 10-15 reps each), run for 2 minutes, do a set, and repeat until 4 sets are complete.  Should I just choose the "workout" mode?  Leave it in elliptical?  What will be the best mode for me to get a decent reading.

Thanks!

Hello @Sammy19 and welcome to the Help forums.  I would tend to choose Workout, because you are going back and forth between exercises.  But that is just one opinion.

You could try workout one day and elliptical on another day.  See if you get a similar calorie burn.  The algorithms give estimates of calorie burns, but we have our own perceived exertion at the end of a workout.  After trying both, which one feels right?
