Screen Black On Charge 3

I've had my charge 3 for just under 2 years. Feb 2021 I think it was. Brought brand new. About 9 months ago the screen went really dim (still visible by tilting my wrist) and never brightened up even after restarts and brightness adjustment.  It still worked so I didn't bother doing anything else. Yesterday half the screen was completely gone and now today - the whole screen is blank.  It's still registering steps and counters and syncing with the APP.  Still vibrating. Just a complete black screen. 

any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community, @EmzR9374782. I´m sorry to hear your Charge 3 screen is blank. Thank you for letting us know that you have tried restarts and brightness adjustment to correct this. 

Please try the long restart:

  1. Connect the device to the charging cable. 
  2. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, press and hold the button down for 15 seconds. 
  3. The device turns on and shows a battery icon. Two vibrations occur: first a short vibration, then a medium vibration. 
  4. The device turns off.
  5. The device turns on and shows a progress bar and short vibrations occur. The progress bar completes. Note: A total of 7 short vibrations occur. 
  6. Remove the device from the charging cable. The device shuts down.
  7. Important: Plug the device into the charging cable again.

Hi,

 

     I followed the instructions as above.  The brightness come back to the screen, however, about 25% - 30% of the screen is still missing.  2 strips down each side of the watch face missing with only a panel down the middle showing. 

If I press the button on the side 50% of the time nothing happens, the screen just stays blank. Also I'm getting no more notifications on messages and calls etc even though it was linked to my phone and the feature where the screen would light up if I lift my wrist to "check the time" has also gone.

I did follow what the instruction said but still blank with just vibrations.

There seems to be a common problem where the display on Charge 3 stops working. Some people (including me) have found that restarting fixes this: Plug the charging cable into the USB port on your computer or any UL-certified USB wall charger.

Could you please confirm that you have tried changing your trackers clock face?
