My Fitbit screen is completely black but still works. Sensor is good, counts my steps, vibrates to notifications, but the screen is black.
While charging, there is a horrible messed up resolution on my Fitbit. There's these random lines, and the numbers are moving and get distorted. Was working fine one day then completely malfunctioned the next day.
I tried restarting, resetting, and changing the clocks faces. Any tricks or tips out there? Bought it last November and it broke last month.

Hi @Rockz764, welcome to the Community forums. I'm sorry to see that you've been having trouble with the display of the Charge 3 not working properly.
Thank you for confirming that you already tried the restart procedure described here and the reset (factory reset). Before considering other options, please make sure that you've also followed the steps listed here below to complete the long restart procedure:

Thanks for these tips! My Charge 3 text messages wouldn’t “clear” and the watch was stuck on the screen that displayed this. It would show my the clock face or any other screens. It was frozen on that screen. I tried everything to try and get it to clear, but to no avail. I looked st other poeoles’ Problem shooting posts and walked through the steps on this one. It worked!! I was so relieved! I love my Fitbit and use it every day on my long runs! Thank you!!

My Charge 3 also has a black screen. I have tried again and again to do the resets etc but the screen fails to respond.
The device seems to be working OK, it syncs with my phone app, tracks steps, sleep, heart rate, the whole works. Just no screen display.
A couple of weeks ago it stopped receiving calendar prompts and texts in the usual fashion - they were showing but no vibration. Not sure if this is related or coincidental.
It's about 15 months old and I have had no trouble with it until now.

I ried the reset process as described in Fitbit's response- - and it worked.. Everything working.

HI My fitbit is malfunctioning as well. I have weird lines going through it- everything works, vibrations are still there but cant seem to get the screen to look correct. I tried resetting it as your instructions listed and it has not fixed it.

Hi! I need some help. My Fitbit Charge 3 all of a sudden has a distorted screen. Was black screen for a couple of days and now I got it to turn on again. I tried your steps above but to no avail. Still a malfunctioned screen.
where do I submit a case to Fitbit ? It’s less then a year old 😞
