Charge 3 brightness

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Like so many other Charge 3 owners on this forum, mine has also gone dim after about a year.  It's not the settings (I've tried Normal and Auto).  I've tried both hard and soft reboots. The screen is slightly brighter in the centre third than the outer edges, but is completely unreadable outside of a dimly lit room.

FitBit has made a substandard piece of gear, and it will be the last one I purchase. My Charge 2 gave up the ghost after only a year.  My girlfiend's Versa(s) have had similar quality issues and have been replaced.

This isn't my first FitBit, but it will be my last.

Thank you for your feedback @SunsetRunner, and welcome to the Fitbit Community forums @SimNav66

I'm sorry to see that you've been experiencing trouble with the display of your Charge 3 devices. Thank you for confirming that you already tried a few troubleshooting steps.

@SimNav66, besides the steps you already mentioned, could you please confirm if you've also checked that the Sleep Mode feature is turned off on your device's settings? The sleep mode makes the screen more dim and prevents the device from vibrating and receiving notifications.

@SunsetRunner, it seems that you've also contacted the Customer Support team about this, let me know about the outcome.

Keep me posted.

Hi Davide!

I do have a same issue,

suggestion: add the 4th option in the SETTING-> BRIGHTENESS-> 1) AUTO, 2)DIM, 3)NORMAL 4) MAX.

and 1 more thing: "active call" notify make me can't check the time while I am on the phone, all I need just the incoming call notification and I don't really want that thousand of "active call" have to be clear after one day........any way to remove this function without take away the incoming call notify?

not native english user, thanks for the patience to read this😅

have a good day

Hi, welcome to the Community forums @mikemikelam

Thank you for sharing this information about the brightness and the active call notification.

For the moment we haven't received any updates about the possibility to increase the brightness options for the Charge 3, but I do recommend that you vote for this feature suggestion posted some time ago, this is still open to votes to keep track of its popularity.

Regarding the Active call notification, this started happening after an iOS update; the team of developers is already aware of it and it's under review. Thank you for sharing this feedback.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Dear Davide

Thanks for your prompt reply, but the vote has been released over 2 yrs and it's only come with 360 ticks,
I believed some of the user has forfeit or changed something else instead of their Charge 3.....I hope this is not one of the aim from fitbit and obviously it's not a minority issue

this not really difficult for the app master/programmer to control the brightness with codes, software etc. some little change would make those recent disappointed user changing their mind, including me

hopefully there's some good, positive feedback & updates come sooner

All the best!

None of those fixes work for me either.  Love the stats and info from the Charge 3, but it's useless as a watch.
