Today my screen went black. I can tell it's working in the background, and syncing to my phone, but the actual watch "face" is completely black. I had problems recently with not being able to scroll through items, but this time the screen is actually out. Please help! I've had this watch for less than a year, and I like what it can do, but this is getting annoying. Thanks in advance.

Hi @roe.mommy There are a few things to try before it is declared dead. Restart it several times, try a Long Restart, and try changing the clock face in the app. If all these fail to help, please come back.
CHARGE 3 LONG RESTART
Plug the device into the charging cable. While the device is plugged into the charging cable, hold the button down for 15 seconds. Remove your finger from button. Note: Device won't have a smiley face icon and should be off with a black screen. Remove the device from the charging cable. Plug the device into the charging cable again. The smiley face icon appears on the screen.

Tried these steps listed above & my screen is still black. It is working though because it’s showing the readings on my phone app. Need to know what to do next please. Thank y’all.

Same thing happened me today - tried all the above & what I could online to trouble shoot & reboot, but nothing’s working, unfortunately. App is still syncing, device is charging, updating etc., it’s just the display that’s not working - any help would be greatly appreciated!

my screen is blank too - battery discharges in 20 min after charge - my Charge 3 (second replacement) is defective

Thanks for your help! Unfortunately my screen continues to be black. It also acts like it's syncing, but its information is messed up. I tried contacting someone, but I can't get in to talk with anyone. Could you flag someone for me?

Same for me, the display is simply not working at all
Ive tried all the above a few times now, but nothing’s working, unfortunately.
App is still syncing, etc.,
help would be greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately, it affects me too. My warranty expired last October but I still have the proof of purchase. Tried all avenues but screen is still blank albeit that it is charging and I can still change the clock face. Would be really glad if someone can help me out as I'm currently not logging in my activities because I am always a fitbit fan.
p.s had a surge before but it lasted me for over 3 years with no issues so I hope someone can assist me with it.

Hi @RinaB Unfortunately, unless you are in Europe or Australia where the warranty is 2 years, you are probably out of luck. Your best option is to contact Support and see what they say, but if it is out of warranty then I very much doubt they would replace it.

Hi all,
I haven’t heard anything regarding any further help on this issue.
does anyone have any other solutions other than change the clock face & pressing the reset button? (have tried both numerous times & neither option works!)
appreciate any help as nearly a week without the display & it’s really annoying!

Try this:
Ignore the portion of the video that shows the screen working.
just squeeze the charging dock while it is charging to get the smiley face.
