Selling Fitbit charge 2

Hi, I have just bought myself a Versa and am wanting to sell my Charge 2.

What do I need to do so that the buyer receives it as ‘new’. Do I lose all of my data on the app when I clear the watch? (I do a lot of long distance running so I don’t want to lose this as it spans back about 2 years)

thanks

You won't lose any data.  Once data is synced,  it is all stored in the database on Fitbit computers by your account, so when you use the same account, the new data will continue seamlessly.

First, sync from the Charge 2 to make sure you get all the data from it.

Then on the phone app, on the tracker page, tap the trash can icon near top right.

Then from phone bluetooth settings, check if Charge 2 is still paired to phone,  If so, unpair it.

Then, logged into app in same account/email, add the Versa.

Thee will  be nothing personal on the Charge 2.  In fact after it clears at midnight, the data might all be cleared.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
