My current Charge 2's screen died today. It's still recording steps and giving information but the screen is totally blank. However awhile back at an Estate Sale I purchased a brand new in the box Charge 2. However when I opened the box today and removed the wrapper info from the new device nothing happens. I've got it hooked up in the charger and I've held the button for more than 30 seconds but nothing happens. Suggestions?

@tedj1957 All rechargeable batteries have a lifespan and can degrade in storage, even if they are never used. Fitbit released the Charge 2 in 2016 and the battery in that unit is nine years old. You can try a different power source, but I think that battery is dead. Even if you can charge it, you will be very disappointed. The Charge 2 is an unsupported legacy model. Fitbit/Google seems to have removed firmware updates from its legacy models and you can't update it past the release firmware.
Sadly, my suggestion is don't put too much effort into making it work and dispose of it as e-waste, by your local rules.

I tried those steps last night. I left it charging all night and nothing.
