I have 2 Fitbit Charge 2 watches. One belonged to my husband. He hasn't worn it for several years so I want to use his also so I don't have to change bands for different occasions.
Mine is working well with the app. My husband's watch will count steps, etc., but I cannot change the date and time. I have entered his name and password to no avail. I have tried changing passwords, etc., to no avail. I hope someone can give me step by step directions.

For starters, you don't say where you are entering his name and password - your phone or his? If your phone, you can't have 2 instances of Fitbit app running. And you don't want both Charge 2s going at the same time, tho not sure that's even possible, etc. Just swap bands and marvel at how easy that is.
P.S. Most people with similar problem are trying to swap between different models of trackers; then it becomes much more difficult issue.
