My Charge 2 battery runs out in about 12 hours.
I followed recommendations: cleaned the charging contacts on the back and the pins on the charging cable with rubbing alcohol.I also set fewer alarms, do not have all day sync, turned off the heart rate monitor, most screen notifications, and brightness.
Is it possible to simply replace the battery, or, do I have to buy an entirely new fitbt?
Thanks.

not an answer for you but my charge 2 just started doing this 3 days ago. Prior to that it was staying charged for approximately 4 days, then just suddenly on Friday it started to only hold a charge for about 9 hours.

Right.
Want to be positive, but if there is no way to replace the battery after all recommended battery- preserving steps have been taken, sounds like planned obsolescence. May have to migrate to a brand other than Fitbit as this seems to be an issue across much of the product line.
