SmartTrack not consistently tracking an exercise

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

I've been using my charge 2 for over 3 years now. Recently noticed that it has become sporadic in recording exercises as well as the number of floors climbed that used to be auto detected. Either it recognises part of it or does not recognise any exercise activity on the app.

The steps, heart rate and even the active minutes are recognised as it always did but it fails to calculate the total as an exercise.

Also noticed that it also fails to recognise the floors as it used to before this issue started occurring.

Note: That there was no change to the duration or the place where exercises where done and this difference is  observed in relation to the recorded stats on the device.

Hi @chats12, welcome to the Community Forums!

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for the details that were shared in your post. To better assist you with this, can you please specify which activity wasn't automatically recorded by your Charge 2? Is this affecting an specific activity or this issue occurs with all of them? When was the first time you experienced this inconvenience and how many times since then? Have you tried to track the activity with the exercise shortcuts of your Charge 2? In the meantime I receive your answers, please restart your device.

Looking forward to your reply.

Unless looking at the data it might be tricky.

The attached screenshot is the typical workout I do. Usually between 12500
to 15 000 steps and records between 50 to 74 floors (my path has an
inclination). And it used to get recognized as Aerobics. This has been the
pattern since i bought the device a few years ago.

Since I started noticing this issue, although the steps and the active
minutes are accounted for the exercise isn't recognized or part of it is
recognized. Could it be a calculation issue?
I did restart the device and then there was a slight improvement like part
of the exercise being recognized.

Plus the now it recognizes only 12 - 15 floors vs what it used to.
Wondering if this is a symptom of the device reaching its end of life.
