Hello,
My husband and I got Charge 2's for Christmas this year and have been walking together every day. He is 6'1" and I am 5'7" so I would think I should be getting a bit more steps in than him on the same walk.
We have tested this multiple times and he always has about 500 more steps than I do at the end of our walks.
Can anyone explain why this is happening and how to resolve it?
Thanks!

Maybe test by both walking the same short distance while counting steps in your mind or both take the same amount of steps and then see who is in front? Our perception can sometimes be off with reality and this would tell you if your perception or the data would be incorrect.
I agree that in general you expect more steps for someone who is shorter covering the same distance, but it is not a golden rule.

@janelleamp, I moved this thread to the Charge 2 Help Forum. It will get more response here.

Not being there to watch the way you two are walking, doesn't help.
If your fitbit arm is holding his, that might cause it. Then again maybe his is consistently reading to many steps.
When checking a step count accuracy it is best to test with a known standard, this way i do this is to count in my head.
Manually start the tracking mode
Start walking with right foot
Count every left foot step
Stop at say 100, 200, or 250
This will give me double the steps off 200, 400, or 500
Stop the tracker, and compare the step count to what i physically counted in my head.
Another thought, how are you tracking tyese, manually starting or lett8ng Fitbit decide? Do your times of the walk correspond?

Hi @Rich_Laue Thanks for the info. So we do not start the exercise manually, we just let fitbit track it. The times are accurate to when we check the time at the start and completionof the walk and our walks times are the same in minutes.
we know I am takingmore steps, as I often have to do a little jog to catch up. We are walking for a workout, so our arms are not holding one anothers.
We will take you advice and track how many steps we take it could be oneof our trackers are off. Ive checked mine before and it seems accurate.
Thanks for the tips

Mine is just the opposite. We walk same distance and I have more than my husband. He is 6ft. I am 5’3”. I have to take more steps to keep up with him. It’s a contest now. Kind of fun.
