Steps is not correct

The steps is not correct report. I just move my hand and number of steps go up . Why?

Your fitbit tracks steps by detecting movement of the wrist and then trying to work out whether that movement was due to a step being taken or just random arm movement. It's not a precise science and sometimes we get some extra steps, other times we might miss a few. Here's what Fitbit have to say about it:

There's not really a lot we can do about it but, as it says in that help file, if you feel you are getting too many steps overall then you can set the wrist setting to "dominant" but wear it on your non-dominant wrist. This should reduce the sensitivity and reduce your step count.
