Steps number keeps changing

Anyone else have this problem? I had over 11,000 steps today , now its changed to under 10,000 on my fitbit. Today's total says lower figure but the week cumulative includes the higher count of steps

Thanks for bringing this to my attention. To better assist you with this, can you please let me know when was the first time you experienced this situation and how many times since then? Is this affecting steps only or other stats too? Which mobile device are you using to check the Fitbit app? Also, can you please clarify if your device shows that, for example, you have 10k steps but when you sync such information your account shows another number or this is directly shown on the device? If you haven't already done so, I recommend you to restart your Charge 2.

Hi I have exactly the same problem. Charge 4 on iPhone 8. I feel the buzz of the 10K step notification. I get home and I have more and then when I check again a couple of hours later I have lost 2k steps!!!!! This has happened everyday that I go on a walk of more than a couple of km. I have the Fitbit about 3 weeks now. I am so angry! I need to understand why it is recalculating. Why is it not right the first time. 
i haven’t checked if the other stats are recalculated I’ll have to look next time.
