Charge 4 is still tracking even with a dead battery

I took off my Charge 4 about three months ago, when the band broke.

Glory be, even with a dead battery , my phone app is showing that I did 8,000 steps.

What's going on?

• Did you find these steps on the tracker or on the Fitbit App?
• Did you sync your device before taking it off?

I saw the steps on the app this morning. The FB is dead because it hasn't
been charged for about 4 months.

Hi @Leskbros. Thanks for getting back to us and for your explanation. 

By any chance do you have enabled Mobile track? Those steps could be from that feature.
