This tracker has a hardware problem as you can see from the amount of people having the same issues.
I had my first charge 3 and within 6 months lines appear and can't be resolved, gave me a replacement and again after 6 months same problem surface and FITBIT does honor their defects. This time round I couldn't get a replacement because the date of purchase is based on First tracker and the second tracker that was replaced falls outside the 1 year warranty based on first purchase.
A totally waste of money for a FAIL product that FITBIT doesn't care.
Please don't waste your money on this model.

I actually just jumped on here because my replacement just developed lines as well.
I bought the Charge 3 as it was a reasonably priced unit for a first time fitness tracker buyer. Thankful I didn't accept their offer for however much $ off it was for a more expensive one.
