Stuck on Timer or Notification screen. And buzzing!

Hi 

My husband got a Charge 3 in May and life got in the way so we've just set it up. He's used it for about 3 hours and flicking between screens accidentally set a stopwatch. 

First it wouldn't stop (we both held the button in, but it carried on counting)

Then we paused it.

Then it got stuck on the notifications on/off screen and wouldn't budget from that.

Then we got off that screen and it's still counting.

As well as that it is regularly buzzing. There's a distance measurer at the top of the screen showing either an 'x' or a tick. This fluctuates and buzzes accordingly. Approximately every few seconds!

I tried a long restart, and also reloading it as a new Charge 3. Neither of these have worked though.

Help! 

I've set it up through my husband's iPad air if that makes a difference.

• I tried to do a hard reset by pressing it down for 8 seconds and plugged it into the charging port at the same time connected to my laptop... but it’s still doing the same thing and the smiley face never appeared... so mine keeps vibrating and going through the different screens... it’s like it’s having a seizure! I even cleaned with rubbing alcohol, the buttons and charging areas... idk what to do?

The long reset didn't work for me either, but I've just tried changing the clock face. It was suggested on another thread and fingers crossed it's jump started it, fingers crossed it stays working!
