Sync And Screen Freeze

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

The syncing is taking forever and usually have to do it over multiple times. And the screen keeps freezing. I go to start a workout and usually it will freeze and not allow me to. I have gotten my Charge 4 replaced, i think 4 times since i bought it in May 2021. I think the current one is only 8 months old.

Hi there @Leannek18, it's good to have you in the Community.

I appreciate the information shared. I'd recommend you check this article, Why won't my Fitbit device sync?.

You can also restart your device. Or change your clock face, if this fixes the issue, you can change it back to the original clock face. If you are using a third-party clock face, please switch to a Fitbit clock face and try the troubleshooting again.

Hope this helps.

I am a blind user who has been extremely frustrated by the constant phrasing of the application home screen. This is a known problem that has been going on since this past spring. I have taken the time to figure out how long it took for the screen to unfreeze. The screen unfreezes and re-freezes every 15 minutes and sometimes it won’t go as long as a half hour. tiles also reverse randomly and then freeze. I have contacted Fitbit civility support to no avail. I apologize for any problems reading this message because I dictated it on my iPhone.

I recently purchased an iPhone SEGEN3 5G and that appears to have corrected the issues I had with the screen freezing and tiles flipping. I would guess that the connection speed between the iPhone 7 LTE and the iPhone SEGEN3 5G is the reason the problem has stopped.

Sent from my iPhone the screen phrasing appeared to be solved when I upgraded to a much faster phone. It did not, however, make the Fitbit iOS app, friendly for people who are blind and reading disabled. I have brought up many of the issues in multiple community and concerns. I have brought issues up with Fitbit customer care and Google Disability Support to no avail. I have learned to adapt and go without because of my loss of vision. This makes me empathetic towards the other community members who are cited and have issues with things like step streak. When the cited members of the Fitbit community lost their hourly data a while back. It was a chance for them to experience with the blind and reading disabled experience daily on the Fitbit app. For the sighted people information was brought back quickly, but the data still is not available to blind users using voiceover. I will be persistent in bringing up the issues I have identified and will hope that someday someone in a position to correct the excel a bit accessibility issues will contact me or work with Apple to make the Fitbit iOS app be more useful tool for the blind and reading disabled. Respectfully, Mark.
