Sync problems

I have a Charge 4, my husband has a Charge 3. Both set to automatically sync but we both have to manually sync every few days. I've done all the troubleshooting, to no avail. The info from our Fitbits is transferred to our insurance company, so this is a royal pain you know where.

@Willie4071 , A warm welcome to the Community! Thank you for your message and efforts.

According to your post, I assume that you tried the steps here: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
When you want to sync automatically, do you have the Fitbit app open on your mobile device?

What phone and operating system are you using?

Is the Fitbit app allowed to run in the background, even when the display of your phone is off?

See you around.

I've tried all your suggestions. My phone is a Pixel 6 Pro.

My husband's old Charge 3 actually syncs more often than my Charge 4.

@Willie4071 , Thank you for your reply and further information.

Do you use the same mobile device to sync both devices?

In the meantime, please make sure that you have installed the latest Fitbit App .

Make sure that the following applies:

  • Your phone is running the latest version of Android OS. To check, tap Settings> About Phone or About Device >

Android Version. To confirm your phone is running a supported version of Android OS, see Fitbit-compatible devices.
  • Your Fitbit device is up-to-date. For more information, see How do I update my Fitbit device?
  • The Fitbit app is up-to-date. For more information, see How do I use the Fitbit app?
  • The Bluetooth setting on your phone is turned on. To check, tap Settings

    >Bluetooth.
  • Your phone is connected to cellular data or Wi-Fi.
  • These permissions for the Fitbit app on your phone are turned on:
  • If you use more than one phone or tablet device to sync, make sure the other device isn't nearby. If the device is nearby, turn off Bluetooth on it.
  • Your Fitbit device is charged.

Then try these steps, some you have already done, but the order is important:

  • Restart your Charge 3/Charge 4 (depending on the device you want to sync).
  • Please on phone, go to Settings>Bluetooth, and remove all connections that exist with the tracker. (Forget, ignore or unpair device depending on the phone OS version)
  • Turn off Bluetooth and restart your phone. (switch off and on again).
  • When the phone is back on, turn on the Bluetooth again, but DO NOT attempt to connect to the tracker from here.
  • Go on the app. From here, try setting up the tracker as a new device.

See you around
