I bought a Fitbit charge 3 for my hubby …he wore it for like 6 months then had to stop wearing it for time due to a rash …it was the forgotten about for another 8 or so months .then charged the Fitbit to start wearing again and now the screen is black . All the tricks do not work and the best I get offered is 35% off as past warranty. I wished I would have researched better to see that the charge three has major issues before spending a lot of money on a product that only lasted 6 months

I wonder how often this happens. I had a Charge 2 that was working fantastic (2 years) then last week, took it off the charger, it showed it was charged, but after wearing it less than an hour it went black and nothing would resurrect it. My son had an old Charge 2 he hadn't used in years. I charge it up and it worked fine. Makes me wonder exactly what produced the "black screen of death." I had not done anything out of the ordinary with my Charge 2. I would sure like to avoid doing anything that would cause it!
