This is my fourth Fitbit! My earlier versions measured short naps. Unfortunately the Charge3 doesn’t do this for naps of less than 3 hours. This is absurd! Who takes a nap of more than 3 hours? The algorithm is easy to reset and I would think the Fitbit team is capable to do this!

I, too, am very disappointed! As stated, my previous Fitbits allowed for this—so I assumed this one would also have this feature. Totally idiotic!

Welcome to the Community Forums @Nikotchka and @Daisymaisy! I totally understand how you feel. I appreciate your feedback about the Charge 3.
The Charge 3 will automatically detect naps if they are at least an hour long. If your sleep is under a hour, I would recommend manually logging your sleep to track it. Click here for instructions on how to manually log your sleep.
Additionally, I'd recommend checking: How do I track my sleep with my Fitbit device?
Let me know if you have any questions present, I'll be around.

Best AnswerMine does not track naps either. I often nap for 2-5 hours and it never picks them up. The funny thing is that my charge 2 does pick them up. I even wore them both together on the same wrist for a few days and charge 2 picked up every nap and charge 3 picked up none. I opened a case and went back and forth with fitbit and nothing they said to do worked. I even went back to the store and exchanged it for another charge 3 incase it was an error with my specific device, but the second one is the same so it must be a software issue. Since I got it specifically to record my sleep I'm very disappointed. Charge 3 is now in a drawer and charge 2 is what I use. I'm fed up and I'm going to go for an android watch when I get my tax return.

Best AnswerOf what value is a Fitbit Moderator, if s/he can't give accurate information? It seems that the link provided to manually activate a 1-hour nap is bogus, much like Fitbit's commitment to customer service. Some places where you can give comments have a + and - rating feature. It would be enlightening to see the negative votes cast for Fitbit customer service.
