We are not allowed to use bluetooth at work.  I cannot wear my fitbit because I cannot find any way to turn off bluetooth on the device.  Are there any plans to push down this functionality via a software update?  I can turn off bluetooth on my 4 year old Samsung Gearfit.  I may have to return this as it is kind of useless if I can't use it at work.

The bluetooth is not on unless it is actively syncing or your are receiving a notification from your phone. I do not believe there are any plans to allow you to disable it.

Alas, this is not quite good enough for my employer.  I need to be able to turn bluetooth off.  Just like I turn bluetooth off on my phone.  My fitbit is continuously scanning for another bluetooth device to connect with, so the bluetooth is never inactive.

I'm glad that someone posted on this topic specifically. I want to continue to wear my device at work as well, instead of having to buy another device or guess my activity. Can y'all PLEASE find a way to make the device function as a stand-alone device by being able to cut off connectivity until I say so? I can't afford to buy another device.
