Two hours advance with the actual time

Hi,

My son's Fitbit time is two hours advance from the actual time.

I tried to fix it thru settings here and there but no luck.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thank you 🙂

Hi @John_N, it is great to see new members around the forums! Robot Very Happy I'd like to know what have you tried so far?

In the meantime, I'd like you to make sure that the timezone settings are the correct ones, then sync his Charge 2 to update the data and if that doesn't fix the issue with the time, restart it.

Let me know how it goes!

Hi,

Yes I did the time zone setting into Darwin, NT. It didn't do anything. Last resort maybe is to restart like you said.

Thank you so much.

Cheers,

@HeydyF - I have the same issue this morning, my FitBit is showing 2 hours ahead of the correct time  - have FitBit Charge2 set to use the phone's time of "network time". Has not been an issue within the last 10 days until I awoke this morning. I am currently in the Eastern Time zone, my home is Pacific Time zone. I am here on vacation. I have restarted the FitBit (twice) and re-synced several times. The time remains 2 hours ahead of the correct time.

Hey @iam1ru2, it is great to see new faces aboard! If you have the correct timezone settings on your Fitbit account and you already restarted your Charge 2, there is something else that I'd like you to try, please set up your Charge 2 as a new device by following these instructions for Android devices. If after that, your Fitbit still showing 2 hours ahead, let me know. 😉

Have a nice day!

I've seen some people resolve time zone issue by setting it to a different time zone, sync, then set it back to correct zone and re-sync.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Issue resolved:
I changed out my sim card (I have a US and a CDN one) - I returned to Canada. New SIM in - when I landed in Canada and taken my phone off airplane-mode, my FitBit registered the correct time. Likely, as you suggest, it was forcing/using a new time zone on my phone that resolved the issue with the FitBit.

Hi,

I have paired now my Fitbit Charge 2 and still the same. I don't know what is the last resort now.

Hope Fitbit Staff can help to sort out.

Thanks!

Hey guys, I hope you are doin' great!

@iam1ru2, sounds pretty cool that your Charge 2 is registering the correct time now thanks to the tip that @JohnnyRow posted above. Beside the setup, have you tried the tip that @JohnnyRow posted above? If you haven't, please give it a try and let me know how it goes. Cat Very Happy
