Unable to link Facebook to Fitbit

Hi all, 

I'm unable to link Facebook to Fitbit and add my Facebook friends. I've followed advice from current threads, tried logging out of the app, restarting my phone, clearing the cache on the app and using the force stop function. I've also tried using my profile on the Fitbit website. 

Neither the app or website give me the option to add friends via Facebook. The app says 'No Facebook Friends were Found' and the website only has the 'Invite By Email' option. The Facebook button that I've seen on other's posts doesn't show. 

I thought this was because I'd maybe already linked my Facebook, but it is not listed under applications I have authorised. 

I know for certain that I have Facebook friends with Fitbits and I haven't had the chance to ignore suggestions to friend them, so I don't think that's the problem. 

Anyone have any ideas?

@Thehattie Welcome to the Fitbit Community! It's great to have you here! Sorry to hear that you can't add friends from Facebook. Where are you viewing the authorized apps? Could you share a screenshot? You can do this from the website. Please make sure you revoke the access and link both accounts again. Also notice that if your friends used a different email address for the Fitbit and Facebook accounts then they won't show as Fitbit suggested friends.

Thanks for replying - I logged out and back in again after an android
update and it works! No idea what changed, but I can see my FB friends now.

@Thehattie thank you for the update. Really happy to hear that the issue was resolved and thank you so much for sharing what you did to fix it as it may help other members in the same situation.

There is no option to even look for facebook friends. Has this been removed?

Hello @Bolverk and welcome to the Community.  Yes, Fitbit removed this feature from the mobile app.  Sorry.  This is an older thread.  Earlier responses mention the web dashboard.  Fitbit recently removed the Friends link from the web dashboard.
