Unable to sync Charge 2

Last night my Fitbit would not sync with my Kindle. I get a message that there is a Firmware update available. I try to start it but receive a message that the bluetooth service is busy and try again but it never changes. When I try to "sync now" it says the sync has been scheduled and will start soon but it never does. Everything is charged, bluetooth is running, it just won't sync.

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @BonBenny. I´ll be glad to assist you to sync your Charge 2 again. Thank you for mentioning the steps you have followed in order to fix this situation. 

 

Please confirm that you have followed steps of help article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync? You can also try syncing with a different device if possible.

Thanks Andrea. I've tried everything in the list of what to do to sync the Charge 2 including uninstalling Fitbit on my Kindle and reinstalling it. I still get the same Firmware update available message. When I press "Update Tracker Software" at the top of the page, the message is "Fitbit bluetooth service busy, try again later." If I press sync now it still says it is scheduled but nothing changes.  Meanwhile my Fitbit seems to be working fine, tracking everything. I just can't sync and there's that pesky "Firmware Update Available" message.

Thanks. I decided to try installing Fitbit onto my phone to see if that would work better than the Kindle. Success. I can now sync on my phone. I really think the problem with the Kindle has to do with whatever that Firmware update is all about. I'll check to see what the representative has to say.
