Unable to sync my Charge 2

Hi

I sync my Charge 2 using a Mac but tried it this morning and was unable to sync or update because my Charge 2 isn't recognising that the Mac has Bluetooth turned on.

It's saying turn on Blueooth when it's already on.

Can you help?

I'm having the same problem only I'm using laptop/Windows 10.  Update and now nothing.  I double checked my Bluetooth on laptop (on) and finally uninstalled my Charge 2, planning to reinstall.  Now I'm unable to reinstall my Charge 2 because the device isn't one of the choices in the install window.  I'm an idiot when it comes to this and extremely frustrated...anybody??

Thanks for your response.
I finally solved it by uninstalling the app on my iPhone and re-installing. Bit of a pain but got there in the end

Thanks for your reply. I spent hours working with microsoft and then fitbit customer service. I finally installed the app and paired my tracker to my tablet instead of laptop. I'm not happy about it but apparently my charge 2 won't play nicely with the windows 10. (heavy sigh)

I had the same issue beginning last night. Fitbit support was unable to fix and offered me a 25% "discount to purchase a new device. Imagine my surprise to find that the "discount" was more expensive than the current sale on the website!  Very disappointed.  Not sure what to do about this.

I didn't want to sync to my tablet. I use my laptop for everything. I don't like the screen views from my tablet, either. So I'm not sure what I'm gonna do.

There was a major fitbit snafu yesterday. I could not sync my Charge 2 from about 3 PM CST. But now it is working again. This may not be related to your problems, but you might just try again now.

I sync my Charge 2 to my Samsung S6, and has worked fine for last 3 years. Had Fitbit app update ~3 days ago, now lost Bluetooth on my Fitbit device. Bluetooth on the S6 still works, which can be 'seen' by other Bluetooth devices, but nothing can 'see' the Charge 2. Like some others in this discussion, don't know what to do now because with no Bluetooth on the Charge 2, nothing can communicate with, or send software updates to, the device. Very frustrating to say the least.

OK. After putting the fitbit app and Charge 2 on my ipad instead of my laptop, I couldn't figure why my data wasn't syncing yet again and just realized I have no dongle for my ipad and therefore am unable to download my daily data. FRUSTRATED!!!!!

My charge 2 no longer syncs using bluetooth. I've tried many times to connect to bluetooth, but it just won't connect. I've also reset my Charge 2. This happened after a Windows update 2 days ago. I'm using the dongle to sync now. I'm not happy about this since the dongle seems to work sporadically.

I am having the same issue! My charge 2 wont sync with the Fitbit App on my Huawei, or update the tracker software. I have uninstalled the app twice now with no success, checked bluetooth and location settings and still nothing. This has been happening since I updated my Charge 2 tracker back in November 2019!!!!

I've given up using my tracker. I can't sync it to any of my devices. The Windows 10 and fitbit app both claim the dongle is no longer required but with or without the dongle, my tracker isn't being seen or syncing - on either laptop, phone, or ipad. It might be that the Charge 2 is an older version tracker and no longer supported after new software updates from Window 10, Fitbit, or Bluetooth, but regardless, my frustration level is exponential. I'm putting my Charge 2 away until fitbit customer service reps can actually fix the glitch. They just keep moving me from device to device and I refuse to purchase another tracker to get this to work. Period the end.

Glad I'm not the only one struggling! But to spend our hard earned cash on something then it doesn't work is ridiculous! Not everyone can afford the brand new model of Fitbit!!

I'm sorry to hear you're also having this problem. I have no problem with
the Fitbit app on my *Android* phone. As for the dongle (which must be
recognized and listed under "devices"), it works - then it doesn't. When
this happens, I close the app, remove the dongle, wait a second and plug it
in again. Windows 10 recognizes it again and starts to work. I would prefer
to use bluetooth. It was much more reliable. Hope this can help you to at
least get your dongle to work.

Thanks for your thoughtful post. I have attempted to do (over and over) exactly what you suggested. I've even unplugged, turned off Bluetooth and removed any and all devices that could possibly pair or sync with my tracker (Netflix, bose speakers, Cortana, etc.) My understanding is that the dongle is not required when you're using Bluetooth (per Windows 10 and Fitbit). Isn't that correct? Regardless, with out without the dongle, Bluetooth on or off, my tracker is NOT being paired or synced with any of my devices. I've spent a ridiculous amount of time (took a vaca day to stay home and wrestle with this) and my arse is officially kicked. I really dislike when technology does that to me. HA! Now I'm wondering if I can take this tracker off of my wrist and still find meaning in my daily workouts...I'm laughing at myself. This is pretty pathetic.

Sounds like your Fitbit really is at fault. No, the dongle is not required
when you're using bluetooth. but the dongle will not work if bluetooth is
enabled on your phone (at least that is the case with my setup). I'm
guessing someone already suggested resetting your Fitbit? If not, put your
Fitbit on the charger and hold its button down until you see the software
version number...and try connecting...again. Wishing you success 🤞

I've reset the tracker itself several times (and then rebooted) with no results. I initially thought this problem was probably because of the Windows 10 update because that's exactly when my tracker quit working but maybe that was just a coincidence and my tracker is kaput. What a bummer. Thanks for your suggestions. I really appreciate it.

Didn't you lose all your past data by uninstalling and really installing the app?

No. I believe the data is stored by Fitbit under your user ID...You're
welcome (about my suggestions). I'm just sorry I wasn't able to resolve
your problem.
