The screen on my Charge 4 has become barely visible, just readable and half the digits missing, can only view standing in the closet. Reset hasn’t helped. Every thing else work, never seen water.

Hi, @mjagusta , thanks for the correction - I no longer have the Charge 4 so was hoping it was the same as 5, but the principle is the same… You need to get to the settings menu!
I’ll edit my answer…
@ApplesRed if it is not the setting, then it is worth trying a restart and if that doesn’t work try changing the clock face . If neither of these suggestions work then you may need to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support ion Contact.Fitbit.com . If you are thinking of upgrading I know that in the past they were sometimes able to offer loyal customers a substantial discount on a new device if their Fitbit failed outside the warranty period. (Now that Google owns the company I do not know if this is still the policy, but it is worth a try.)

@ApplesRed This is likely not the issue, but I have had my Charge tracker mysteriously change the display brightness setting from auto to dim. That would cause the brightness issue, but not the missing digits.

I’m so sorry! It sounds like it might have come to the end of its useful life.
If you want to get in touch with Fitbit Customer Support on Contact.Fitbit.com I know they often used to offer significant discounts to loyal customers looking to upgrade. I don’t know if that is still the policy, but might be worth giving them a call in case.

This has happened to both mine and my wife's at exactly the same time. It has happened to so many people that I have my suspicions that it has been deliberately programmed into the software to do this. Apple did this exact same thing to their Iphones and they were fined for it. There are quite a few threads on this and moderators end up closing them without addressing the problem.

Hi @ApplesRed and @Stormie51 , as mentioned above it is worth checking whether the display has accidentally switched to “dim” . Swipe left until you come to “settings”. Tap on “settings” then swipe up until you see “display”. Tap to toggle between auto, bright and dim.
If it is on dim you may need to go into a dark room in order to see this. The dim setting is really dim!
I hope this helps. Let us know.

Bring up your clock face and then slide your finger across the face from right to left. Keep doing this slide until you get to the very end of the data which should show you a settings button. Tap on it and you should see a brightness setting that you can change from brightness dim or brightness normal. I've had a couple charge fours and every now and then when you're working on looking at items on your phone it automatically does it by itself. This will fix your problem if it's a settings issue.

On the charge 4 you have to swipe sideways to get to "Settings".
