Update crashed shows half bar

My fitbit always displays a half bar and I can't use it. I found solutions to say you need to re connect your device to your account and start up again once you've unpaired the Bluetooth. I did all of this but when it says to hold down the button for three seconds to connect to the app nothing happens and my fitbit just flashes before turning off. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

What Fitbit tracker do you have @Pear2195

I suspect to restart the tracker needs to be charging when holding in the button.

The same thing happened to me. I tried to trouble shoot by shutting off my phone's battery saver, resetting the Fitbit, trying to connect on a different device, but the only thing that shows on the screen is the update bar that's half full. I also unlinked it from my phone, same thing, but the battery was at 100 percent less than 24 hours ago

I bought it, new, about 10 days ago and opened it yesterday.

Same thing with mine. I tried to update the software last night, woke up and getting ready for work, tried to check the time but it wasnt turning on. I put it on the charger but it just showed the half filled bar. I tried to do a reset and then showed an exclamation point. I tried resetting a couple more times but it still shows the half filled bar. Not sure what to do at this point if resetting does not do anything.

I have the same issue. Has any of you had any luck returning the fitbit after contacting customer service?

I started off by contacting customer support on Twitter, then I switched to email. I sent them a photo of the half filled bar/my screen, and they had me try to reset it again. Since nothing worked, they checked the status of my warranty. It was just bought in December, so they replaced it. I told them it was a Charge HR, but they sent me a Charge 2 [still has HR.. I'm not complaining 😂] They never said anything about returning the Charge HR that doesn't work.

Would be nice if support monitored this forum, cause this seems to be a common bloody problem!
