Update failed, Screen now black, can't reset.

Hello, 

I tried to update the update for the Charge 3. This seemed to take a long time and didn't complete.  Now my device is black.  The button vibrates,  but no life on the screen. 

After looking at the forums,  I tried a soft reset. The smiley face appears.  That's all.  I've tried a hard reset,  that doesn't seem to work after 15 seconds. 

 

I'm now lost and can't locate a solution from here.  Please help?!

I have been unable to update my new fitbit 3 tracker.  I have tried numerous time all week long.  In the middle of the update; it sends a message that It failed to update.  What else can I do other than return the fitbit?
