What exactly does the 'Screen Wake' feature mean?

What exactly does the Screen Wake feature mean on the Fitbit Charge 3? I don't see an explanation of it in the online manual or in general online forums.

'Screen Wake' means turning on the display when you turn your wrist.

Hello,

i’m having difficulty with my Fitbit in the pool. Frequently when I have finished and want to pause my session the screen wake notifications screen appears. Then it doesn’t go away no matter what I do. Meanwhile the time of my session continues to run ruining my record of the swim. Is there some way of fixing this problem?

The button is quite sensitive and if you long hold it it always goes to the settings options. It takes a bit of practice but try pressing for a very short time. Do not hold the bottom on. It is fiddly at first. But you can get the feeling for activating quite quickly which will take you to the pause screen.

I just recharged my Charge 3 for the first time and my screen shows Screen Wake and Notifications

 How do I get back to seeing steps and other tracking data?

Ok it just came back...after about 10 minutes. Any way to get regular screen back faster?

You get that screen if you press and hold the side button. Just press the side button once to return to the main screen.

If Screen Wake is Auto and Sleep mode is enabled, which wins?  I turn my wrist when I sleep.
