Though the term seems to have mostly disappeared from the documentation, "SmartTrack" is Fitbit auto-recognizing that you are doing a workout. Somewhere there is a setting to have fitbit notify you the first time it auto-recognizes a certain type activity. So it would give you a notification the first time it auto-recognized a "Walk", but not for subsequent times.
If you look in the exercise tile on phone app, you should see a workout listed there corresponding to that notification.
Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.
