Where do I change my calories?

I had a Fitbit 2 for years that finally died.  Got a new charger 3 - where in the world can I change the daily calorie intake?!  I have looked everywhere and right now it's showing 2500 calories a day!  I don't want that many calories as trying to lose weight!

This is an easy change to make, @Mardyellen. Open your Fitbit app on your phone and tap Account —> Goals —> Nutrition & Body. From there you can open Food and set your caloric goal.

This is stupid - I am trying to lose weight.  Why would I want to track to 2500 calories a day?   Help is telling me you can't "set a goal" of your calorie intake.   So what is the point of this helping me in my journey?   I wish my old one didn't die - it was working fine.   If the new charger doesn't let you set a target goal what truly is the point?  Apple watch time

Hello again, @Mardyellen - please don’t double post. You can see my instructions on how to change the calorie goal in your other post.

Thanks Carolyn at Michigan but I would appreciate not being taken to task for double posting.   I just spent an hour with the help desk to figure this out.  I figured it out on my own -
