I notice that every day I have to manually sync my Charge HR. I don't feel I should have to do this every day. Isn't there some way to set it to automatically charge daily, possibly at the same time every day?

When you open the app it should start syncing. Are you leaving it open long enough?
You should see it syncing at the top of the app

Without knowing what phone the Fitbit app is on.
Make sure that the app is able to run in the background, you may need to disable power management
Make sure that when the phone locks that the Fitbit app has been moved to the background.

It seems to me that once upon a time if you had the correct settings, background refresh and the all day sync option, there was nothing you needed to do. It just worked.

It should still work this way. The only major change is that the user can no longer turn off background sync.
This is why I'm asking more about the phone. So that maybe we can figure out why it is not syncing throughout the day.
