Recently i have noticed some change in the sensitivity of my Charge, especially since winter started.
I live in western india where day and night temperatures have differential of upto 16degrees celsius.
since november i have noticed that my charge would record more stairs climbed and more number of steps walked, as compared to earlier, for exactly the same path i use daily. initially it would record about 800 steps and 1 floor, but now for same route it will display 1200 steps and 3/4 floors.
Any Idea why this may be happening?

Hello there @Nirave and I'm glad to see you around in our community. Indeed the weather can affect your tracker in some ways. It happened the same issue to me around December with my Charge HR, since where I live has been a windy season. Note that your tracker detects floors using an altimeter, which is a sensor that calculates altitude based on atmospheric pressure. This sensor will know when your are going up counting as floors based on this pressure. Occasionally your tracker may detect pressure changes same as it has happened to you or me, unrelated to elevation gains, such as a gust of wind, weather change, or opening a door. Exposure to excess moisture can also result in extra floors being counted. This happens if the pathway to the altimeter on the back of your tracker becomes temporarily blocked with sweat or water. So my recommendation is to keep clean the path of the altimeter for a better care of your tracker.
Regard your steps, you can adjust the sensitivity by changing the settings of your dominant/non dominant hand. For this I recommend the following article: "How accurate are Fitbit trackers?" and look in the section: How can I make my tracker more accurate?
As additional information you can delete this false data from your Dashboard if you prefer.
Hope this helps. See ya around my friend

I found this blog quite interesting. I'm from Florida and visiting in the grand canyon. I went out for a short walk this morning in 25 degree weather (typically 80 in Fl) and when I got back from my mile walk, my Charge 2 indicated 5,000 steps. Just wondering if you've noticed anything new or have further pointers. Thanks!
