charge 2 wrist orientation

Been for a long time using the charge 2 on my left wrist, set for left wrist in the app, but due to various reason I'll have to switch to right wrist instead. So I changed to right wrist in the app, synced up with the charge so it could adjust the orientation as it said it will in the app, however nothing happened when I activated the display.

I checked the online dashboard and I could see it also changed wrist as I changed it on the app.

Tried syncing, change back and forth several times, yet no changes to the orientation.

I thought the screen orientation change only applied to the alta and alta HR. For the Charge 2 the button is always on the left regardless of what hand you wear it on.

I thought so too after reading up on several other posts, older posts though.

However inside the app I can choose which wrist I have the charge 2 on and it says "Fitbit Charge 2 adjust its orientation based on which wrist you wear it on."

I changed mine during the initial setup to right hand. Attempts to adjust it after months of use to the left hand is not effective.
