Hello FitBit Community
I am using my Fitbit Charge 2 since about 4 years and I love it 🙂
But suddenly the green light of the heart rate tracker is much brighter than before, and the battery life is down to about 1/2 a day.
Also the heart rate recording dosent work correctly. Somtimes ist records mostly not.
In the dashboard I tried to switch the heart rate monitor OFF and ON, but it doesn't react at all,
the bright light just stays on until battery is empty.
I hope somebody can help me.
Thank You!
Markus

Same problem - little over 3 years old, heart rate monitor LEDs started to stay on all the time (starting about a month ago), one then died and one stayed on, even get hot to the touch. Battery that used to last 4-5 days soon started dropping to 1 day before the whole thing died midway through a run on the weekend.
Reseting it didn't work, cleaning it didnt work, seen on here and googling that thats a common problem that heart rate contacts become faulty and lead to battery issues, rather than waste my time i gave up ordered a new charge 4 through the wife who got NHS discount.

Interesting that you have this problem from Saturday. My Charge 2 has just done the same thing from Friday. Been on to Fitbit but not really getting anywhere yet. Just about to contact them again.
My thoughts are that they have introduced an update and it's affecting the Charge 2 but they are not willing to say.
Let's see what happens today.

So in the end fitbit have said that the device is just broken. Bit of a nuisance, as warranty is out. Two years goes quickly. So offered a 25% discount on some purchases from their store.
Hope you have better luck than me.
